The inspiration for the Sounds Good Music Restaurant came from the desire to create an environment that fosters connection. The designers envisioned a space where patrons could lose themselves in the beauty of connection, amidst the rhythm of music and the clinking of wine glasses. The result is a restaurant that is more than a place to eat - it's a place to connect, to experience, and to feel.
The restaurant's unique properties lie in its design elements. The use of "lines" and "lights", "wavebands" and "warmth" are all materialized language of connection. These elements construct, compile, and connect a range of emotions, both possible and impossible, that once existed or did not exist. The objective of the design is connection, and it is also the method.
Centering on the theme of music, the designers drew inspiration from four international top bands: Kanye West, Daft Punk, The Beatles, and LinkinPark. Neon and mirror devices themed around these bands adorn the private rooms, adding a unique touch to the dining experience. The music brought by the singers makes the place different from ordinary restaurants, and bartenders further distinguish the space, creating a connection between singers, bartenders, and patrons.
The design of the Sounds Good Music Restaurant presented several challenges. The designers wanted to express the idea of connection through the huge radial ceiling lights and the external curtain wall made up of glass. The pad pasting on the curtain wall displays the image of music sound bars containing names of singers, allowing patrons to recognize the music restaurant from afar. The designers carefully selected 110 famous musicians and bands’ works from around the world, each name full of intensive affection and strong cultural penetration.
This unique design has not gone unnoticed. The Sounds Good Music Restaurant was awarded Silver in A' Interior Space, Retail and Exhibition Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The Sounds Good Music Restaurant is indeed a testament to the power of design and connection, offering patrons an experience that is truly music to their ears.
